Dr. Steve Stangoni

Dr Steve Stangoni (GMC 7042486) specialises in FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction).

Having qualified as a doctor from the University of Southampton in 2009 with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Biomedical Science, he has been working as a hair transplant surgeon since 2015, and as a General Practitioner since 2016.

Dr Stangoni’s work and ethos as a hair transplant surgeon are informed by his own struggles with hair loss at an early age. Given this, he brings a particular understanding to the work that he does with his patients, understanding both the psychological impact that hair-loss can have and what the experience of having a hair transplant involves. More importantly, he is highly motivated to do the best for his patients and to get them to achieve their best results, given that he knows what a difference this can make to how a patient sees themselves. He is a perfectionist in this, and in particular in the pursuit of natural-looking hairlines that give the patient the best cosmetic result.

Dr Stangoni is a member of both the ISHRS (International Society of Hair Restoration Surgeons) and SITRI Italian Society of Hair Science and Restoration (he is bilingual and fluent in Italian), regularly attending their conferences and ensuring that he keeps up to date with the best practice in his field, to ensure that his patients get the very best care
